This unit covers the skills and knowledge for the development and presentation of fashion design concepts to the client within specified guidelines.

Learning Outcomes
In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge required for Design concept development processes. Course includes design development and presentation of fashion ranges and/or styles to meet set design criteria.
Details of Learning Activities
The course is integrated with LMTFD5019A Analyse individual fit and make pattern alterations and LMTFD4004A Calculate cost estimates for fashion products to form a cluster or learning program called Design Studio 2.
In this course you will be involved in theoretical and practical tasks.
• You will be required to undertake research outside of regular class times.
You will integrate skills across the design process and focus on the use and experimentation of design studio processes which will result in the production of a fashion design product which meets a specified brief.
Teaching Schedule
WEEK 1• Introduction to course requirements, attendance, assessment etc.
Introduction to Project requirements
Detailed Weekly planner and assessment information will be provided as a schedule in the first week of classes
WEEK 1 - 7
Racy RE-Design goes White Project Assessment 1.
Development of designs to meet the detailed design brief for this project.
Finalise Project 1 and design folio

Industry partner project assessment 2
• Discuss design requirements for Industry Project
• Time management strategies.

Overview of Assessment
Detailed course and assessment requirements and information will be made available to you first week of class. Specific details will be explained to you during scheduled classes.
This course comprises both practical and theory components. You will be expected to attend and participate in class activities.
As well as class activities you will be required to undertake research and assessment practice outside of regular class times and participate in formal assessment tasks.
