Course Description
This course guides you though the application of professional practice principles to Financial Services.
It’s focus is on defining the use of guidelines, practices, procedures and legislation as they apply to the managing of client information.
In ordetr to meet these requriements it deals with facilitating and organising activities, resources and time at a personal competency level.

Learning Outcomes
In this unit you will develop skills and knowledge in managing performance outcomes, be able to identifying an industry professional approach to procedures, guidelines, policies and standards, including ethical requirements and be able to model and meet expectations of these aspects of work in the financial services arena.
Overview of Assessment
Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written tests, group assignment and final assessment.
Tests are closed book and consist of multiple choice, practical exercises and short answer questions.
The group assignment requires students to research the role and function of a financial institution or a major contemporary issue relating to the financial system and of concern to consumers.
Students are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure the relevant competency standards are being met. Students will be provided with feedback throughout the course to check their progress.
In order to be deemed competent in this course a student must pass each of the assessments of the course.
