This unit describes the activities involved in integrating spatial data sets including linking spatial, aspatial and attribute data for the purpose of providing spatially referenced information.

Learning Outcomes

Overview of Assessment

This course is to be delivered and assessed as part of an Engineering Surveying Project within a simulated workplace environment and under a normal range of work conditions.
The assessment is done through a combination of:
• Practical and theoretical exercises carried out in a simulated workplace
• Production of project based deliverables to industry standards using relevant computer software, GIS and drafting packages
• Practical demonstration of requisite skills and knowledge.
• Presentation of a portfolio in accordance with the program standards (SIS Quality Plan) including references, coursework, reports and management records.
