Learning Outcomes

On sucessful completion of this course students will develop the required skills and knowledge to be able to identify design details used in the production of garments for the purpose of achieving specific effects such as embellishing fabric to give a garment a more unique, individual appearance. It also covers the development of construction specifications and standard operating procedures to guide the production of garments which incorporate design detail.

This course comprises both practical and theory components. You will be expected to attend and participate in class activities.

As well as class activities you will be required to undertake research and assessment practice outside of regular class times and participate in formal assessment tasks.
