Course Description

In this module, each student’s development needs and competence are assessed; learning community development commences; and students are introduced to essential concepts, skills and support materials related to managing and action planning for change in the workplace.


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development


Knowledge application and critical analysis of concepts and theories that can be applied to organisations.

Critical analysis of cognitive, emotive and motivational stances taken by self and others in organisational settings.

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing about sophisticated complex human organisational settings.

Ability to work with diversity in groups.

Development of team-work skills through undertaking group assignment and analysis of the work done.

  • Gathering and sharing data at personal, group and organisational levels.
  • Collaboratively setting specific outcomes.
  • Establishing a supportive, culturally diverse learning community.
  • An appreciation of specific contributions to group dynamics related to differences in cultural backgrounds.

Individual Assessment:
