Course Description
This Course will prepare you for this new era by discussing the latest employee relations concepts such as employee-customer-profit arrangements, emotional and cultural intelligence, virtual teams, social identity theory and knowledge management. Current Pacific rim issue and practices will include tropics such as workplace romance, drum circles, search conferences, information technology, workplace bullying and appreciate inquiry.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
At the conclusion of the Course, your business and capabiity employee relations development will be improved through exposure to a Pacific Rim context, contemporary issues and trends in employee relations, and through active, student centred learning. This will be achieved through the use of case studies, individual and group reflective practices, presentations and research.
