Course Description
This course will provide you with an understanding modern society. In addition to developing your understanding of the terrorist phenomena, it will also acquaint you with the far-reaching effects of terrorism. It is therefore designed to consolidate and build upon students’ knowledge by drawing together courses undertaken to date, and demonstrating their interrelationship within the context of this topical and internationally significant issue.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
By the end of this course you will be able to identify and critically assess the major theoretical approaches to the study of terrorism: identify and critically assess the value of various global anti-terrorist measures and be able to assess the legal and moral value of Australia’s anti-terrorist legislation.
