Course Description
In this course you will explore industry-relevant techniques used to produce sound designs for film, television, games and animation. You will analyse the use of sound in different industries and identify aspects and processes that make them successful. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of audiovisual principles at both theoretical and practical levels.

This is an elective, which will complement the learning outcomes you are developing in your program.
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Understand the processes used to develop and create sound designs for film, television, games and animation.
- Identify how dialogue, atmosphere, sound effects and music play a role in successful sound designs.
- Use sound to communicate emotive and narrative information.
- Demonstrate a practical understanding of the fundamental technical tools used to design sound.
