This course focuses on the strategic role of the manager, emphasising insights relating to the process of strategy development. You will learn to develop skills in influencing an organisation to achieve its goals or mission

Upon successful completion of this course you should be able to:
- Analyse and explain the strategic management process, the benefits of strategic management, and the importance of strategy formulation, implementation and evaluation for an organisation
- Analyse and discuss the importance of competitive strategies and level of strategies
- Determine organisational external and internal factors influencing the behaviour of an organisation and individuals
- Identify and discuss the important of corporate direction, culture, constraints, strategy control and corporate governance issues
- Evaluate and analyse global strategies for a business and distinguish and the roles and function of the various national and international aviation-related organisations
- Identify and discuss the strategies to achieve effective group interaction and facilitate organisational effectiveness for large business and SMEs

You will learn this course through pre-recorded lectures, directed reading, class room discussion, and investigative research. The learning process is reinforced through problem-based learning using case studies.
