Course Description
This course provides an introduction to intelligent enterprise systems (IE). It is a future-ready enterprise resource planning (ERP) software that integrates with various intelligent technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT) and advanced analytics. IE improves operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by predicting market trends and maximising business value so that that organisation can compete resiliently in dynamic and demanding markets. This course explores IE and intelligent technologies from the basic concepts of understanding, identifying, planning, selecting, evaluating, implementing and operating IE to make smarter and faster business decisions.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
This course will help you in developing capability in the following areas:

- Apply teamwork and leadership capabilities
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to demonstrate achievement of the following Course Level Outcomes (CLOs):
CL01: Evaluate key business and technical rationales in diverse business contexts that lead to the need for intelligent enterprise systems.
CL02: Investigate and apply appropriate methods and strategies in building Intelligent Enterprise Systems solutions.
CL03: Critically assess appropriate principles and approaches with the use of Intelligence Enterprise Systems to forecast and propose plans for cost-effective interfaces between logistics and other functional business activities.
CL04: Develop and apply effective interpersonal skills and communication techniques in working as a team to solve real-world problems with innovative, intelligent enterprise systems solutions.
Overview of Learning Activities
1. Students will learn the concepts and issues involved in Intelligent Enterprise Systems (IE) software in the business environment.
2. Students will learn to develop a presentation and a written report for businesses to transit to an intelligent enterprise.
3. Students will get to experience the use of the SAP systems during the workshops.
