Course Description

Digital content plays a crucial role in a successful digital marketing campaign. This course provides skills for developing a content strategy and measuring its success, adapting messages and stories for different audiences, integrating text, images and audio-visual materials, and writing, editing and delivering interesting content to attract and engage audiences. You will learn how to write for the different digital platforms a company may use for example websites, social media, blogs, mobile content, email content etc. This course is designed to bring out the innate creativity in you. In the end, you will have a real world view of the importance of creativity and the power of ideas in marketing communications.

On completion of this course you should be able to:

  • CLO1: Understand the various digital platforms and how it fits with the company’s strategic plan
  • CLO2: Know the requirements of digital media environments and adapt materials accordingly
  • CLO3: Understand the needs of the client and create optimized content that fits with their communication strategy and maximize customer engagement
  • CLO4: Know how to measure and analyse the effectiveness of a content strategy
  • CLO5: Defend and present their own work to the client and/or peers

Learning activities will involve studio teaching and class discussions, case studies, group projects, and student presentations. Students will have the opportunity to work on projects aimed at enhancing their learning experiences associated with the course.
