Course Description
The course is designed to introduce you to the structure and content of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), specifically in Sport and Recreation. The course aims to introduce you to the principles of competency-based learning and use of VET training packages. Concomitant development and application of group skills, communication skills and the ability to examine and deliberate accurately and objectively will take place while developing curriculum as part of this course.
The opportunity to attend an outdoor education residential camp will be available course participants. The course includes a Work Integrated Learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/ or community is integral to your experience.
