Course Description

This course develops your skills in evaluating current and emerging technology trends and evaluates its impact and opportunities on business.

You will explore developments in technologies including the evolution of a technology, the characteristics of a technology and its implications on managerial functions.

You will also evaluate how technological changes affect stakeholder management and their ethical implications, and how to respond to business challenges by developing solutions to meet business objectives arising from emerging technologies.

On successful completion of this course you will be able to:

CLO1: Critically evaluate current and emerging developments in technologies and related opportunities and challenges.
CLO2: Appraise the implications of technological changes on managerial functions including planning, decision making, control, and coordination and the relationships with stakeholders.
CLO3: Develop business solutions in response to technological changes.
CLO4: Analyse business and ethical implications of emerging technology in organisational settings.
