Course Description
This course provides you with the opportunity to build and develop management, business and leadership skills that are essential for effective physiotherapy practice. You will engage with interdisciplinary frameworks to appraise issues in the health sector and apply business and design thinking to explore and forge solutions to everyday problems. The principles of managing and leading teams to achieve outcomes in diverse health settings will be a focus within this course. You will also be challenged to develop an entrepreneurial mindset that incorporates creativity, innovation and critical thinking for work readiness in an ever-evolving world.

This course contributes to the program learning outcomes for MC287 Master of Physiotherapy:

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Critically review and implement business and design thinking and skills to innovate solutions or improve services within the health sector (e.g. BMC, Branding, Value Propostion, The Perfect Pitch)
- Critically analyse strategies and systems, including those involving digital health and technology for effective management of both patients and teams within the healthcare context.
- Apply critical thinking and reflective skills to assess leadership and management in real-world scenarios within the healthcare context, focusing on responsible practice and ethical considerations in leadership and management roles.
