Course Description

Medical Radiation is progressing into innovative and advanced areas of diagnosis and treatment. In this course, you will be introduced to some of these emerging and innovative technologies and their use in advancing patient diagnosis and improving treatment outcomes. Topics covered include systemic cancer therapies, Theranostics, Transarterial Therapy Administration, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.

  1. Describe the application of a range of emerging therapies, classifying their role and potential impact in improving patient outcomes.
  2. Articulate the necessity of multidisciplinary collaboration to develop and deliver innovative solutions to provide holistic patient care.
  3. Appraise the use of AI in medical radiation and illustrate its potential for improving patient diagnosis and treatment outcomes


Overview of Learning Activities

You will be actively engaged in a range of learning activities such as lectorials, tutorials, practicals, individual and group activities. These will be complemented by self-directed online learning activities. Attendance at practicals is essential for demonstrating professional communication and collaboration
