Course Description

In this course you will acquire the skills and knowledge required to effectively find out current resource use and carry out improvements, in own work area, including those that reduce the negative environmental impacts of work practices.

It applies to operators/team members who are required to follow procedures to work in an environmentally sustainable manner. This maximises the environmental performance of the process and the organisation, ensures regulatory compliance, and aims to minimise environmental risks and impacts.

Details of Learning Activities

Integrated learning activities in this course consists of theory and practical components carried out in a workshop environment. Throughout the course, you will develop the skills and knowledge to create custom-made footwear products. You will learn to use and work with a range of materials, suppliers and components used in footwear manufacturing.

 

Learning activities will include the following:

  • online delivery
  • practical work in the workplace
  • exercises to acquire and perfect demonstrated skills
  • feedback sessions
  • independent project based work under workplace conditions
  • Work practice at home including research
  • Blog/Wiki or other online discussion and participation
