Course Description
In this course you will acquire the skills and knowledge required to participate in safe work practices to ensure your own health and safety, and that of others in work environments that involve caring directly for clients. It has a focus on maintaining your safety, and the safety of the people being supported as well as other community members.
This course applies to all workers who require knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) to carry out your work, in both residential and home and community service provision.

Details of Learning Activities
During the classroom/face to face /online students will have access to:• Virtual reality (VR) where students are given access to VR equipment during the classroom delivery where they experience different perspectives common in the aged care and disability service sector. Experts by experience – guest speakers who are experts in the disability services and aged care fields will present information and share stories from the industry providing students with a glimpse of workplace application of the theory they study.
