Course Description

In this course you will learn self-management skills needed to perform effectively in the workplace. This will be applied to working in an arts organisation and or the arts industry. You will explore themes which relate to personal time management and the identification and
management of personal learning needs.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment for this course is on going throughout the semester. Your knowledge and understanding of course content is assessed through completion of a body of work that demonstrates concept development, understanding of materials and adhering to the guidelines of working in a studio.

  • Time management techniques as they apply to the particular job role
  • Way of organising information clearly, concisely and logically
  • Effective communication techniques
  • General knowledge of stress management techniques
  • Knowledge of career paths within the relevant industry context and skill requirements of different roles.
