Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to work respectfully with people from diverse social and cultural groups and situations, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

This unit applies to all workers.

This course is part of the cluster "AOD foundation skills" and is delivered and assessed with:

Assessment task 1: Quiz

Assessment task 2: Practical communication exercise. There are 3 parts to this task.

Assessment task 3: Role Play

Assessment task 4: Research and analysis exercise. There are 5 parts to this task.

You will be given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required knowledge and skills. A third (3rd) attempt can only be offered after discussions between teacher and the Program Coordinator and is not automatic. Resubmissions beyond two (2) attempts are at the discretion of the teacher and/or coordinator.
