Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Learning Outcomes
This course is structured to provide students with the optimum learning experience in order to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
Details of Learning Activities
This course will be delivered face to face with a demonstration of skills and knowledge, in addition to online learning.

In order to complete this course students are required to successfully achieve competency in all assessment tasks.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment task 1 - 75 knowledge questions with required reading online
Assessment task 2 - Practical demonstration of tasks including CPR, defib and responding to emergency situations.
