Course Description
In this course you will be required to participate in workplace occupational health and safety (OHS) processes. You will be required to demonstrate knowledge of health and safety principles and apply those principles to your work.

Studio 01 is a clustered unit comprising of Applied Lighting Techniques (CUAPHI402) and Contribute to health and safety of self and others (BSBWHS201).

Course Overview, Introduce staff, studio protocols, show on Canvas, general RMIT questions, show equipment list, do a group bonding exercise, ( who are you and why are you here etc ) explain DSCX loans, Where is cafe, library and level 2 admin (Winnie), show computer lab and output room. Show Rembrandt Examples. Equipment tests of Camera stand, hex plate and camera on and off camera stand and spirits level on camera hotshoe, correct tether cable to camera and use of X-Rite Color checker Passport. Begin cyc mop and studio clean. |

Assessment tasks in this course include: “In class” practical tests on the safe handling of photography equipment.
Assessment Tasks
Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard required in the workplace.
To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.
