Course Description

This competency covers the outcomes required to effectively measure current resource use and carry out improvements including those reducing negative environmental impacts of work practices.

This is a Vocational Education and Training qualification and is assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard required in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

Task 1

Summary and Purpose of Assessment

This practical assessment task is the first of two assessment tasks you need to complete satisfactorily, in order to be deemed competent for this cluster. 


This practical assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to participate in product engineering in a TCF enterprise.

There are 3 parts to this task, you will be required to complete:

Part 1: Specifications sheet

Part 2: Plan method of production

Part 3: Prepare cost estimates and maintain records

Where

This Assessment will be conducted in the RMIT Footwear Workshop and on Canvas. Some work will need to be completed outside of class time.

How

You will be assessed against the criteria as listed in the observation checklist in Section B of this task and how well you answer the questions asked by your assessor. To achieve a satisfactory result, you will need to address all criteria satisfactorily.

Summary and Purpose of Assessment

This product assessment task is the final of two assessment tasks you need to complete satisfactorily, in order to be deemed competent for this cluster.
