Course Description
This competency covers the outcomes required to effectively measure current resource use and carry out improvements including those reducing negative environmental impacts of work practices.

You will be required to develop and demonstrate the skills and and knowledge required to to follow procedures so as to work in an environmentally sustainable manner to ensure regulatory compliance and also aims at minimising environmental risks and maximises the environmental performance of the process and of an organisation.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include a range of practical and theory components. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on Canvas.
This is a Vocational Education and Training qualification and is assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard required in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

Assessment Tasks
Assessment Task 1 – Knowledge Questions: This assessment task allows you to demonstrate your knowledge required to plan and implement production within a work team, estimate materials, labour and time requirements, and establish costs for products as well as trialling and fitting custom-made footwear. Due Weeks 5, 9 & 13.
Assessment Task 2 – Participate in product engineering: This assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to comply with environmental regulations, identify environment issues and minimise the risks of negative impact on work and carry out improvements in own work area. Due Weeks 4 & 16.
