Course Description

In this unit you will learn skills and knowledge required to use computing technology in a footwear workplace.

The unit applies to identifying the types and sources of information required, and using computing technology to access, enter, manipulate and store information.

The equipment may include computers and other equipment based on computing technology.

On successful completion of this course you will have developed and applied the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate competency in the above elements. 

You would be able to create your own digital portfolio in the format of a Wordpress website and business appropriate social media.  Explore a variety of programs, presentation tools and their best functions to create a professional digital portfolio.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include a range of practical and theory components. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on Canvas.

 

This is a Vocational Education and Training qualification and is assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard required in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

 

Results that apply to courses that are delivered and assessed in accordance with competency-based assessment are:

Assessment Tasks

Assessment Task 1: Team Design. Develop Team and Concept - This assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to work in a team and assist in the preparation of 
preliminary design concepts. Due Week 3.

Assessment Task 2: Team Design: Design and Present - This assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to produce a Group Mood board and Design Report and 
present the groups designs to your peers. Due Week 6.

Assessment Task 3: Create a digital Presence - This assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to produce a Group Mood board and Design Report and 
present the groups designs to your peers. Due Week 15.

Assessment Task 4: Computer Drawing Basic - This assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to draw one of your own shoe designs in Adobe Illustrator and present it as part of a Range board using the template provided. Due Week 10.

Assessment Task 5: Present your Product- This assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to produce a Photoshop range board. Due Week 15.
