Course Description
In this course you will develop the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in the creative arts industry. This applies to any field of the arts industry and is relevant to people in a wide range of occupations, for example, dancers, musicians, actors, cabaret performers, street performers, entertainment administrators, reviewers, film makers and public artists.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge and understanding of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises, oral/written presentations and through the application of learned skills and insights. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on CANVAS.

Assessment Tasks
Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

Assessment 01: Investigating Creative Industries
In this assessment you will select a creative industry you are interested in pursuing further education/career path, the list is provided on Canvas. They will research that industry sector and complete a presentation on the trends of the sector and emerging technologies.

Assessment 02: Industrial Relations
In this assessment, you will explore the knowledge required to understand the industrial relations of the creative sector.

Assessment 03: Investigating Copyright
In this assessment, you will investigate copyright and show an understanding of copyright law within the creative sector.
Due Week 12
Assessment 04: Engaging in Industry
In this assessment, you will engage in a selected industry project and showcase a project by presenting a finalise solution.
