Course Description

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to prepare and confirm workplace procedures for use in a TCF enterprise.

Learning Outcomes

Students will develop the skills and knowledge required in:
1. Developing procedures and manuals by means of appropriate collation, sequencing and revision of specifications (and related information)
2. Evaluation of the effectiveness of specifications and procedures through the application of assessment techniques.
3. Collection and presentation of information by means of computer software and other appropriate methods.


Overview of Assessment

Tasks that have not been authenticated in class as the student’s own work will not be considered for assessment. Regular attendance is necessary to demonstrate that you can:

1. Follow correct Occupational Health and Safety procedures
2. Collect information necessary for the development of procedures / manuals that are in accordance with workplace requirements
3. Carry out trials in order to evaluate any changes to specifications / procedures
4. Collate recorded information and present findings in accordance with workplace practices such as: use of Power Point presentations at formal meetings; use of common software (Word and Excel) or other specific software in the preparation of reports to management and in the development of manuals.
