This unit covers the skills and knowledge to participate in the development of production planning.

Learning Outcomes
In this unit you will be required to develop skills associated with communication to gather, interpret and discuss production data and information and participate in meetings. Planning and organising, initiative and enterprise and problem solving are also required in planning and selecting processes, procedures or outcomes with others and to identify and resolve production issues. This unit also requires team skills to work with others in determining and confirming production requirements.

• Interpret & Analyse Data for a given Production Schedule.... using information/data from sales orders file/facts-sheet

Overview of Assessment
Detailed course and assessment requirements and information will be made available to you first week of class. Specific details will be explained to you during scheduled classes.
This course comprises both practical and theory components. You will be expected to attend and participate in class activities.
As well as class activities you will be required to undertake research and assessment practice outside of regular class times and participate in formal assessment tasks.
PLEASE NOTE: work that has not been authenticated during class as your own work will not be considered for assessment.
Assessment Tasks
1. Produce Flow Chart for a nominated apparel item - 10%
2. Research actual Production Processes (Industry interview) - 25%
3. Produce a Production Pack (schedule, BOM, and costing etc.) - 25%
4. Participate in Major Production Planning Project {30%} and reflect on your Learning {10%} (Folio evidence monitoring performance, etc.) - total of 40%
