Course Description
This unit specifies the outcomes required to lead and manage continuous improvement systems and processes. Particular emphasis is on the development of systems and the analysis of information to monitor and adjust performance strategies and to manage opportunities for further improvements.

Overview of Assessment
A person who demonstrates competence in this standard must be able to provide evidence that they are able to develop, monitor and adjust plans, processes and procedures to improve performance; they must also be able to support others to implement the continuous improvement system/processes and to be able to identify and manage opportunities for further improvement. Assessment will be done through submission of a portfolio indicated competency in work undertaken and application of theory to this work.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment for this unit is by the submission of a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates how plans to introduce and facilitate continuous improvement were introduced and applied,any improvement systems and processes that were developed and introduced,plus how the management of the workplace provided opportunities for continuous and further improvement.
