Course Description
This unit develops the skills and knowledge required to use materials in accordance with appropriate Occupational Health and Safety procedure and operate safely in a workplace environment

Learning Outcomes

Students participate in lectures, group discussions and practical application of Occupational health and Safety standards in a simulated work environment.

Overview of Assessment
Students’ ability to apply to follow health safety and security procedures will be assessed by:
- Direct observation of the candidate explaining workplace safety or emergency procedures to others
- Direct observation of the candidate demonstrating safe working practices for particular job roles.

- relevant protective equipment.
