Course Description

In this course you will cover the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage quality within projects. It covers determining quality requirements, implementing quality assurance processes, and using review and evaluation to make quality improvements in current and future projects. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of endorsement.

Assessment will incorporate a variety of methods including written, oral, practical tasks and activities. You will be asked to personally demonstrate to your teacher/assessor the practical skills gained during this course to the relevant industry standards. A person who demonstrates competency in this unit must be able to provide evidence of the ability to: 

 

  • demonstrated evidence of successfully managing project staff so that quality outcomes were achieved on multiple complex projects 

AT1 & AT2 involve the development and implementation of strategies to achieve successful project outcomes for two projects. The student responds to issues that arise on site and implements strategies to resolve these issues. 

  • knowledge of a range of quality management tools, techniques and methodologies. 

AT1 and AT2 both involve practical implementation of project planning and management tools, techniques and methodologies.
