Students must pass each of the assessment tasks to demonstrate competence.
To be deemed competent you must demonstrate an understanding of all aspects required of the competency. Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks.
Assessment Tasks
To be deemed Competent (CA) for this course you will be required to complete ALL of the assessment tasks listed below satisfactory.
Assessment Task 1Consists of three parts (Part A; Part B)
AT.1 Part A:allows you to demonstrate your knowledge in labelling and identifying body plans on a diagram-this assists in the gathering of health information: diagram.
AT.2 Part B:allows you to demonstrate your knowledge required to obtain and interpret information about client health status and to check a client’s physical health: 20 online questions.
This assessment task will be marked as (S) or (NS)
Assessment Task 2 Simulated practical
You are required to obtain, correctly interpret and use anatomical and physiological client information to check the physical health status of three (3) different people presenting with different conditions. This assessment will be conducted in the simulated environment.
This assessment task will be marked as (S) or (NS)
Assessment Task 3 Clinical placement
This practical assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to obtain and interpret information about client health status and to check a client’s physical health during your clinical placement.
This assessment task will be marked as (S) or (NS)
Students are required to achieve “Satisfactory” in all three (3) assessment tasks to achieve competency in this course.
A final Competent (CA) or Not Yet Competent (NYC) will be the final grade for this course.
