Course Description

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to research and develop an integrated business plan for achieving business goals and objectives. Specific legal requirements apply to the management of a small business.

Details of Learning Activities

This unit is delivered on campus with weekly discussion tasks and is supported by lectures and assessment support sessions. Delivery will also utilise Canvas LMS (Learning Management System) with weekly teacher-led topic discussions, and self-directed learning activities including; defining the elements of small business planning, business and market research, legislation, financials, documentation and risk management. Students will be referred to a range of current online State and National small business planning resources and document templates to support the development of their small business plan.
