Course Description
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to follow OHS policies and procedures in the entertainment and media industries.

Details of Learning Activities
In this course you will learn the skills and knowledge required to follow work health and safety (WHS) requirements in the creative industries.
It applies to those who are required to identify their individual WHS responsibilities and implement procedures to work safely in various creative industry work contexts.
Teaching Schedule
This unit is delivered in the same session as GRAP5392C Explore 3D Forms. It is scheduled for 8 weeks.

Introduction to the Product Design workshop environment. Standards of behaviour within the workshop explained. Observation of safe work practices is a major component of the assessment for this unit. Overview of Assessment
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include demonstrating appropriate use of machinery and chemical compounds in the workplace. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on My RMIT.
Assessment Tasks
Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher for each assessment task. |
