Course Description

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to design and manufacture registration rims for removable prostheses.

This unit applies to work in dental technology.

3.2 Trim rim to prescribed dimensions and appropriate landmarks

3.3 Smooth and polish rim according to material chosen

3.4 Decontaminate the registration rim according to infection control guidelines

3.5 Dry the registration rim and place in a sealed container for dispatch
