Course Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to construct removable orthodontic appliances.
This unit applies to work in dental technology.

Assessment Tasks
Assessment 1: Theory Assessment - Written Test (Week 19)
The theory assessment will include short answer questions and diagrams as required.
Assessment 2: Practical Assessment – Practical Skills Test (Week 19)
During your practical assessment you will be required to manufacture 1 removable orthodontic appliance consisting of an active and passive component.
