Course Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to reline, rebase, repair and modify removable prostheses.

Details of Learning Activities
In this unit you learn how to interpret work orders and manufactures instructions for repair and modifying of removable prostheses, and use standard precautions and safe work practices for constructing repairs and modification for maxillary or mandibular dentures.

To be deemed competent you must demonstrate an understanding of all aspects required of the competency. Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment Task 1 will require you undertake a closed book written test which will include short answer questions and diagrams as required.
Assessment Task 2 will require you to replace, add or modify new or existing artificial teeth, replace ,add or modify new or existing metallic components and modify denture base.
