Assessment Tasks

Assessment Task 1: Written Questions

Due: Week 11 Sunday 11:59pm

  • This is an open book written assessment – you can use your learning materials as reference.
  • You must answer all questions and their parts correctly to achieve a satisfactory outcome for this task.
  • Refer to the Glossary of Instructional Task Words for descriptions of instructional words to guide you in the level of response required in each question.

 

Assessment Task 2a: Determine Stakeholder Engagement Methods

Due: Week 12 Sunday 11:59pm

In this task, you are to review the email and the attached documents and complete the Stakeholder Engagement Form using the template given in the attachment

Step 1

When completing the form, you need to:

  • identify possible stakeholders to the project
  • list the power that each stakeholder (or stakeholder group) has to make decisions in regards to the project
  • list the interest that each stakeholder (or stakeholder group) has in relation to the project
  • identify an engagement strategy for each stakeholder (or group) in regards to how best to manage stakeholder engagement.

Assessment Task 2b: Undertake Stakeholder Engagement Planning

Due: Week 12 Sunday 11:59pm

In this task, you are to review the email and the attached document and complete the Stakeholder Engagement Assessment Form using the template given in the attachment.

Step 1

You should refer to the Stakeholder Engagement Form you completed in part A of this assessment to review the power and interests of each stakeholder.

Within the form you need to:

  • identify each of the stakeholders to the project that you previously identified
  • for each stakeholder:
  • place the letter “B” (before) in the appropriate column for where you believe the stakeholder engagement is currently at (unaware, resistant, neutral, supportive, leading)
  • place the letter “A” (after) in the appropriate column for where you wish the stakeholder engagement to be in the future to ensure a better success in the project (unaware, resistant, neutral, supportive, leading)
  • identify the action(s) you wish to undertake with each stakeholder (or group) so that you can ensure that they become supportive of the project or that they remain supportive.

Note: that a stakeholder may have the letter “B” and “A” in the same column or in separate columns.

Assessment Task 3a: Implement Stakeholder Engagement Actions

Due: Week 13 Sunday 11:59pm

Based on the email, you are to complete the following task:

Step 1

Refer to the Stakeholder Engagement Assessment Form you completed in assessment Task 2, and then select and undertake two actions you have identified. You can choose any two actions you have identified.

Depending on the actions you have selected, you should either undertake the action in person or develop the documentation to implement the activity. If a task is required to be undertaken in person, the assessor will role-play the stakeholder for the purpose of the activity.

The method you select should be appropriate to the action and demonstrate evidence of the action. As an example, if an action is to highlight the benefits of the project to improve the stakeholder engagement you could either meet them to promote the benefits verbally or send them a list of benefits by email.

Step 2

Email the stakeholder to either follow up after a face to face meeting or as the main mode of contact. Ensure you copy in Gavin Stead

Ensure the email contains clear correspondence using appropriate vocabulary and formats.

 

Assessment Task 3b: Determine Stakeholder Communication Needs

Due: Week 13 Sunday 11:59pm

In this task, you are to review the email and the attached document and complete the Stakeholder Communication Plan using the template given in the attachment.

Step 1

You should refer to the documentation you have completed in the previous assessment parts as necessary.

Within the plan you need to:

  • specify every stakeholder (or stakeholder groups)
  • specify the information needs of each stakeholder (or group)
  • specify the selected communication channel to deliver the information to each stakeholder (or group)
  • specify the frequency of the communication to each stakeholder (or group)
  • specify who will be responsible for delivering the communication

Assessment Task 4a: Clarify Stakeholder Behavioural Expectations

Due: Week 14 Sunday 11:59pm

Based on the email, you are to complete the following task. Select a task in the WBS you developed previously, and that has gone over schedule. In the email, ensure you complete all areas:

  • You must specify who the email is to.
  • You must specify a subject.

You must complete the body part of the email detailing why you are sending this email, and how you plan to remedy the project task variance

 

Assessment Task 4b: Lead Performance Review

Due: Week 14 Sunday 11:59pm

Based on the email, review the HR001 Professional Development Policy & Procedures and 360-degree Feedback Form.

Step 1

Complete the five performance metrics in the form that you would like the project team members to review each other upon, in regard to their project performance. Save the form with version control adhering to IM002 Document-Management-Policy-&-Procedures

Step 2

Email project team the completed 360-degree Feedback Form, with instructions on how to complete it and form them to email the completed forms to Gavin. Copy Gavin into the email

 

Assessment Task 4c: Determine Individual Development Needs and Opportunities

Due: Week 14 Sunday 11:59pm

Based on the email, review the HR001 Professional Development Policy & Procedures and the FM015 Professional Development Plan template.

Step 1

Conduct a meeting with one of the team members to identify their development needs. During the meeting, you should review the 360 feedback they have received and then in conjunction with the member, identify any development needs for them using the FM015 Professional Development Plan template.

During the meeting, your assessor will be looking to see that you can:

§  use the professional development plan template provided

§  verbally lead the session providing the results of their feedback from other team members

§  seek feedback from the attendee on how they wish to address the feedback

§  verbally consult and negotiate on a plan of action.

Step 2

Complete a FM015 Professional Development Plan for that team member. Document the FM015 Professional Development Plan based on the agreed plan of action.

Step 3

Reviewing any feedback, you get from the performance review session, and your assessor with regards to your own role in managing stakeholder engagement. Complete a self-evaluation and document any suggested improvements using the FM006 Continuous Improvement Register.

 

Resubmissions (VET Programs)

If you are found to be unsuccessful (Not Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory) in a Course Assessment Task, you will be allowed one resubmission. Your teacher will provide feedback regarding what you need to improve and set a new deadline for the resubmission.

If you are still not meeting the assessment requirements, you must apply to your Program Manager in writing, outlining the steps you will take to demonstrate competence in your course. Your submission will be considered by the Program Team, and you will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.

 

Penalties for Late Submission

Late submissions of assignments without special consideration or extension will automatically be considered a re-submission (see above)

Changes to the Assessment Scheme
