Course Description

In this course you will develop the skills and knowledge required to plan, organise and produce audio recordings.

3.3 Assess the acoustic characteristics of the recording location, and provide feedback on instrument/voice placement and settings to relevant people

3.4 Provide balanced, constructive and supportive feedback to artists, to ensure that performance meets project expectations

3.5 Recognise and consider individual perspectives, and negotiate acceptable outcomes to conflicts as required

3.6 Monitor and adjust recording to produce a final product that meets required project outcomes

Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge and understanding of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises, oral/written presentations and through the application of learned skills and insights. Assessment Tasks

Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency.  To be assessed competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will produce sound recordings to accompany the animation provided to you. Use the template provided to you by your teacher.

Assignment 02: Sound recording knowledge

Short-answer assessment quiz to demonstrate you have the skills and knowledge required to plan, organise and produce audio recordings.

Due week 12

Assignment 03: Audiobook excerpt

You will produce an audiobook excerpt in response to the brief provided to you. Use the template provided to you by your teacher
