Details of Learning Activities
You will have one (1) class per week, over a duration of sixteen (16) weeks. Classes are conducted as tutorials.
Tutorial classes will be delivered as directed by your assessor. This may include online delivery, via collaborate ultra on Canvas (LMS) or on campus face-to-face, as timetabled. Your assessor will need to observe you completing tasks during these sessions to ensure your work is authentic (your own work). During tutorial, you will have opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback on your work prior to submitting for grading. Your assessor will also ask you questions to confirm you understand the topic.
You are required to attend a minimum of 85% of your classes. If you miss classes, you will need to provide a medical certificate to your Trainer/Assessor for classes that result in you not meeting the 85% requirement.
If you fail to attend the minimum required classes and engage in each class, your trainer/assessor will not accept your assessment submissions. You will be required to attend an in-person interview with your trainer/assessor at a time determined by them. Failure to attend this interview will result in your assessment being rejected. Additionally, the trainer/assessor reserves the right to reject your assessment based on the interview's outcome. This is required to ensure RMIT meets the Standards set for RTOs to ensure the validity of your work.

Other Information
Assessment requirements:
You are required to complete 3 assessments for this course. All three assessments must be satisfactory.
Once you have completed the assessments and submitted all relevant documentation by or before the stated due date and time of the assessment, your assessor will assess your work against the criteria provided in Section B of the Assessment.
If submitted on time, you will be eligible to receive one of the following results:
- Satisfactory (S). This means that you have satisfactorily completed the task and met all the requirements contained in Section B of the Assessment Task.
- Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS). This means that you have not satisfactorily completed the task and have not met one or more of the requirements contained in Section B of the Assessment Task. You will be provided with Feedback by the Assessor as to what needs to be corrected to achieve a satisfactory outcome.
Resubmissions:
PRACTICAL ASSESSMENTS: You will be provided with one (1) resubmission opportunity for each practical assessment task if you are not successful in attaining a Satisfactory outcome in your initial attempt. After receiving feedback, your assessor will set a new due date for you to complete all correction works and submit them via the CANVAS submission folder.
KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENTS: You will be provided with two (2) resubmission opportunities for each knowledge assessment task if you are not successful in attaining a Satisfactory outcome in your initial attempt. After receiving feedback, your assessor will set a new due date for you to complete all correction works and submit them via the CANVAS link.
Resubmissions are not offered to students who receive a DNS (Did Not Submit) result.
Other Results:
If you fail to submit the assessment task by the due date and time as stated in CANVAS, you will receive a result of DNS (Did Not Submit) This will be displayed as Incomplete in the Grades section. You will also receive a Statement of the DNS in the comments section of the assessment. A DNS Result can only be overturned with an Approved Extention of Time issued by the Program Coordinator or an Approved Special Consideration.
A single DNS result in this course will result in a final DNS result for the course regardless of completion of other assessment tasks.
Attendance Requirements:
Part of the requirements for Vocational Education is regularly engaging with your Trainer/Assessor. Your Trainer/Assessor is obligated to observe you in class and observe your assessments in each class as scheduled. Therefore, you are required to attend all classes as they are scheduled.
