Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to engage consumers, analyse service needs of particular groups and develop programs and services to meet those needs.

This unit applies to workers coordinating or managing teams and operations in varied service delivery contexts

Face to Face classes where information is shared through talks and group discussions, and exercises are conducted to apply learning. Time in class, will also be spent working on applied assessment tasks.

Overview of Assessment

There are three individual assessment tasks consisting of program planning, needs identification and review tasks. 


Assessment Tasks

Assessment task 1: Program Planning and Engagement/Role-play demonstrating students ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and provide them opportunity for participation and engagement

Assessment task 2: Identify Needs and Plan a Program Project demonstrating students ability to design and implement a service program for a specific group.

Assessment task 3: Implementation and evaluate a service program project: Program Review Report demonstrating students ability to review a service program and to suggest and plan for improvements.

 

You will be given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required knowledge and skills. A third (3rd) attempt can only be offered after discussions between teacher and the Program Coordinator and is not automatic. Resubmissions beyond two (2) attempts are at the discretion of the teacher and/or coordinator.
