Course Description
This unit of competency covers the coordination of engineering projects within project plans and budgets. It includes monitoring and maintaining the project implementation plan, performance analysis and use of project management software.

Outline of the project work:
1. Form Four students in a Group
2. Select any one of the project from the below
- Wind Mill Project or
- Valve timing and cam shaft arrangement
- Defence vehicle window wiper Mechanism or
- Your own projectwith ideas
3. You have to prepare, model, design, manufacturing, co-ordinating between your groups and Final report.
4. You have to analyse the cost estimation and project plan.
Among your group, First Person act as coordinator , second person as a designer, third person as a manufacturer and fourth person as Install and commission. It will be rotational. so you have to coordinate between yours and outside also. you have to create, assemble and commission or practical test of your mini prototype project.

Overview of Assessment
The assessment is conducted in both theoretical and practical aspects of the course according to the performance criteria set in the National Training Package. Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written/oral activities and demonstration of practical skills to the relevant industry standards. Participants are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment activities to their teacher/assessor. Feedback will be provided throughout the course. To successfully complete this course you will be required to demonstrate competency in each assessment task detailed under Assessment Tasks:
