Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge to apply specific communication techniques to establish, build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders based on respect and trust.

This unit applies to work across a range of workplace contexts where workers at all levels may communicate with individuals and/or groups both in person and in writing.

The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.

To be deemed competent you must demonstrate an understanding of all aspects required of the competency. Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks.

 

 


Assessment Tasks

3 x Treatment review assignment due: 23rd May 2019 submitted via Canvas  

You will be required to approach a client within RMIT’s student clinic to participate within a feedback survey post treatment. Once you have collected all 3 review forms, you will be required to answer questions relating to the information provided to you via after each treatment.  For further information please refer to your assessment tool located in Canvas.

Facilitate workplace meeting assignment: 13th June 2019 via Canvas

Your will be required to work within a group setting and to set up a meeting to discuss feedback that has been undertaken via a client survey and other operational areas of concern. For further information please refer to your assessment tool on Canvas. Each group will be given a presentation time closer to the date.
