Overview of Assessment

To be deemed competent you must demonstrate an understanding of all aspects required of the competency. Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks.

Assessment Task 1 - Written: Literature Review and Research Methods

Assessment Task 2 - Written: Research Project Findings

Assessment Task 3 - Presentation: Research Conclusions and Findings

Assessment Tasks

Assessment Tasks

1. PRESENTATION: Scholarly vs. Non-scholarly – 31st July & 7th August, 2019

Students are required to determine a topic of interest and find one (1) scholarly and one (1) non-scholarly piece of research directly relating to Myotherapy practice. Both sources of information must be on the same pathology or involve similar research techniques. Students are to compare and contrast the scholarly and non-scholarly sources by critically evaluating the presented research information.

2. WRITTEN TASK: Literature Review & Research Methods – 30th August, 2019
Students are required to submit a Literature review and Methods section in the format of a Journal article on their chosen research topic that directly relates to Myotherapy practice. A minimum of three (3) scholarly sources of information need to be collected, analysed, compared and contrasted. The relevance of the research has to be critically evaluated within a Myotherapy framework.

The Methods to be employed in the research project have to be submitted with an Informed Consent form that participants will need to sign before research commences.

3. PRESENTATION: Research Conclusion & Findings - 30th Oct, 6th, 13th Nov, 2019
