Overview of Assessment

To be deemed competent you must demonstrate an understanding of all aspects required of the competency. Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks.

Assessment Task 1 - Written: Literature Review and Research Methods

Assessment Task 2 - Written: Research Project Findings

Assessment Task 3 - Presentation: Research Conclusions and Findings

Assessment Tasks

1. WRITTEN TASK: Literature Review & Research Methods – 22nd March, 2020
Students are required to submit a Literature review and Methods section in the format of a Journal article on their chosen research topic that directly relates to Myotherapy practice. A minimum of three (3) scholarly and minimum of one (1) non-scholarly sources of information need to be collected, analysed, compared and contrasted. The relevance of the research has to be critically evaluated within a myotherapy framework.

The Methods to be employed in the research project have to be submitted with an Informed Consent form that participants will need to sign before research commences.

2. WRITTEN TASK: Research Project Findings - 24th May, 2020
Students are required to submit their research findings, which includes results and discussion with evidence of critical evaluation of the data and how the evidence relates to their literature review.

3. PRESENTATION: Research Conclusion & Findings - 3rd & 10th June, 2020
Students are required to present their research conclusions and findings to the class including potential improvement in current practice and how they can be implemented in their application to Myotherapy practice and clinical issues that may require further research.
