Course Description
This unit of competency sets out the knowledge and skills required to complete an engineering project brief, including the analysis and design of complex flexural reinforced concrete members from first principles, using appropriate design aids.

3.1 OHS/WHS requirements for carrying out the work are followed. 3.2 The design is completed to conform to relevant standards or regulations, in accordance with enterprise procedures. 3.3 Design references and equipment are used, according to relevant standards, manufacturer’s manuals and enterprise procedures. 3.4 Results are recorded, analysed, examined and applied, according to enterprise procedures. 3.5 Decisions for dealing with unexpected situations are made from discussions with appropriate personnel, job specifications and enterprise procedures. 3.6 Methods for dealing with unexpected situations are selected on the basis of safety and specified work outcomes. |

Overview of Assessment
