Course Description
This course describes the skills and knowledge required to generate ideas, design drafts and test interactions for interactive media products.

Details of Learning Activities
This course consists of 2 Units of Competency that are clustered together for delivery and assessment. The other unit of competency in this clustered course is: CUADIG412 Design user interfaces

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Assessment Tasks
Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.
Assessment 1 Knowledge Assessment
Completing the knowledge evidence question of this assessment will allow you to demonstrate the that you have the knowledge to take a design concept to implementation stage showing clear understanding of the processes and show understanding of design interactions and user interfaces including the processes needed to perform intensive user testing.
Due week 13
Assessment 2 Design interactions and interfaces (Game Design)
You will be given 2 set briefs called “Design Interactions” and “Design User Interfaces” to develop interactive media products for each of the briefs. You will work with the teacher and peers to collaborate and develop an innovative interactive design solution for the problem that the briefs present. These briefs will set out the requirements and purpose of the assessment that student must follow, including a problem to solve as the main focus of your interactive design solution.
