Course Description
In this course you will acquire the skills and knowledge to identify fibres and fabrics commonly used in the construction of garments and accessories.
This includes identifying a wide range of fibres and fabrics used in the clothing industry. Fibres include natural and synthetic, and fabrics include knitted, woven and non-woven.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include three assessments or projects. Assessments will be in the form of tests for underpinning knowledge and demonstration and observation of your abillity to identify fibres and fabrics, describe fabric construction processes and qualities of fabric plus determining the uses of fabrics.
