Course Description
This course deals with the development of the technical and conceptual skills required for work in the photoimaging environment. It also deals with communicating effectively and working strategically to achieve planned outcomes as a photoimaging practitioner.

Assessment may include written assignments, project work, class particiaption, individual or group presentations
Assessment Tasks
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in practical exercises, knowledge assessment tasks and practical group projects.
Assessment tasks in this course are either formative or summative. Formative tasks provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be considered as essential building blocks for more substantial summative assessment tasks. To demonstrate competency in this course, you will need to complete each of the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback on all assessment. For further information on the grading system please refer to the course Blackboard site.
Formative Assessment
- SWOT analysis of yourself as as photographer including an action plan as to how you would tackle these issues.
- Participate in the Canon EOS project.
Summative Assessment
1. Style
Part A Look at professional photographer whose work you admire (include 2 photocopies of their work) and describve in 1 page what are the elements that go into making this photographers style.
Part B Now in 1 page outline the elements that make up your own style. As a suggestion look at your work now and and the elements that you like and trace each element back to its origion.
Be sure to include examples of your own work and the photographers work who you admire. Include Bibliography and diagrams where necessary.
