Course Description
This unit specifies the workplace performance required by a worker to contribute to work health and safety
(WHS) processes where there is responsibility for own work outputs and possibly limited responsibility for the
work output of others.

Teaching Schedule
The face to face teaching to give an outline about WHS policies and procedures will be held according to the time table available to the students. Timetable will also be accessible through RMIT learning hub.

Overview of Assessment
The assessment will include participation in scheduled teaching sessions, completing workbook learning activities and assessment booklet to demonstrate elements of competence to the required standard in the health care settings.
Assessment Tasks
The assessment tasks include-
1. Successful completion of the workbook for topics 1-5 to determine and assess the underpinning knowledge of various aspects of WHS
2. House keeping audit to assess the planning, conducting and understanding of WHS activities
3. Case study completion
The dates for assessment submission are available at Assessment schedule in Online program blackboard site.
The students need to be deemed competent in ALL assessments to pass this competency.
