This course is delivered and assessed in conjunction GRAP5337 Graphic design techniques and GRAP5339 Typography techniques.
Course Description
In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge required to organise and realise a creative project from the development of ideas to the creation of the work. The result may be creative work in any media.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is on-going throughout the course. Assessment will incorporate a range of methods to assess performance and the application of knowledge and skills and will include tasks and projects.
The assessment tasks are:
Project 1 - folio submission - 3 stages 60%
Project 2 - Tumblr Blog project 40%
An assessment charter summarises your responsibilities as an RMIT student as well as those of your teachers.
Assessment Tasks
Tasks in this course are either formative or summative. Feedback throughout the course may be written, verbal or a combination of both.
Formative stages provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be considered essential building blocks for the more substantial summative assessment tasks and you should engage in all formative stages.
This course has 2 x Summative projects and online staged tasks, which must be completed.
You are required to demonstrate all learning outcomes to a satisfactory standard.
Online processes - A four stage series of blog entries on Tumblr that document the development of an independent project and uploading staged folio submissions to Blackboard
2 x projects (Summative) Project 1CP: The collation, conversion and presentation of the practical projects and tasks produced in all courses, into a digital portfolio (due in Week 18) @ 60%
Project 2CP: The generation of a creative individual project, either as a conceptual or physical outcome/s (due in Week 20) @ 40%
At the completion of the course, grading will be offered in addition to, and after, competency based assessment.
Grades which apply to courses delivered in accordance with competency-based assessment, but which also use graded assessment are:
CHD - Competent with High Distinction.
CDI - Competent with Distinction
CC - Competent with Credit
CAG - Competency Achieved - Graded

The major learning experience involves studio based exercises, demonstration and production. It is strongly advised that you attend
